The Archive
For Local and Independent Authors
We’re honored by the interest so many writers have shown in having their work carried at The Archive. As a space dedicated to the power of storytelling, we take great pride in supporting titles that align with our shop’s distinctive identity and resonate with our readers.
As a small independent bookstore, we receive a high volume of inquiries and are unable to accommodate walk-in visits from authors. We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing books to the store without a scheduled appointment. Instead, please submit your information using the form below.
All submissions are reviewed carefully. Should we find that your book is a strong fit for our inventory or programming, a member of our team will reach out within a few weeks. If you do not hear from us, we truly appreciate your interest and understanding that we are not able to carry every title submitted.
Our Curation Focus
At The Archive, we specialize in:
- Themes aligned with the "dark academia" aesthetic
- Literary fiction and poetry
- Thoughtful nonfiction, including history, philosophy, and cultural criticism
- Beautiful editions and design-forward books
While we admire all creative work, we’re highly selective with self-published titles, and typically only consider those that are professionally edited and designed, and resonate with our readership.
